The Department of Civil Engineering, KMUTNB aims to train students to be civil engineers with competent knowledge and ethics in their professional practice to meet the needs of the industry. The curriculum was opened in 1983 under the name of Department of Structural Technology. Then in 1994, the curriculum was opened Bachelor’s degree of Civil Engineering and changed its name to the Department of Civil Engineering. In 2001, with the potential and readiness of the staffs and equipment of teaching and research, the department opened the course of master's degree and started the doctoral studies in 2009. Now, there are 19 instructors in various civil engineering fields.
